For months now Blood Ties fans have been using various different tactics to save their beloved show. Fans have launched a blood donation drive, a postcard campaign and even a vampire fang campaign. You might say that Blood Ties fans have more bite than bark! (Yes, I know that’s a bad one.)
But even though we may not have bark, the efforts of the fans will benefit those who do … and those who meow. Check out Blood Ties Fans Give Back over at Slice of Sci Fi. Money raised through the sale of special postcards and other items used during campaigns to save the show have raised over $900. The money raised has been donated to a cause supported by Christina Cox, Dylan Neal and Kyle Schmid, the 3 stars of Blood Ties.
Good job fellow fans. Fluffy and Fido would be proud!

I can’t take credit for the article. Neuf did that, I asked her to do it. Never dreamed that someone would actually post it. Have asked her if she wants a byline on it. I posted it and they just assumed I wrote it, I’m bad.

Thanks for helping spread the word. Its interesting to see how many Moonlight fans are now discovering this show. I bet when/if a 3rd season is announced that the ratings for it will be the highest ever due to the fans getting the word out.

Hi Donna,
I came to the show later than the American viewers as it first aired up here in Canada in the Fall of ‘07. But I fell in love with it anyway.
If you read my first post about Blood Ties you’ll see I do have another motive for keeping Blood Ties on the air: quality Canadian programming telling Canadian stories on Canadian TV! I’m currently waiting for the Juno Awards to come on thinking that if we didn’t have the Canadian Content rules (CanCon for short) that we’d never have all the great music talent making waves around the world. I’m tired of Canadian TV shows I like getting cancelled.
I’ll keep spreading the word via my blog.
